What is Dîner en Vert?

An elegant, pop-up gala with the goal of introducing two new non-profit projects focused on community sustainability through different, but like-minded approaches.
Join Ann's Heart and Delaware Valley Vegan Education Group (VEG) as we throw an elegant "green" gala! We are celebrating the launch of two new initiatives. So why not throw a great party?!

Our event will host individuals from the vegan and omnivore communities, to showcase amazing sustainable, plant-based food, and ways in which to foster green and sustainable communities.

Guests are asked to wear summer cocktail attire featuring the color green.  To add to the excitement, our event location will remain a secret until the day of the event, keeping our guests waiting in anticipating.

A Focus on Sustainability

We are putting a significant amount of effort into ensuring our event is as low-footprint as possible. We are teaming up with some amazing restaurants and service providers to ensure our dinner takes the term "green gala" to a new level!

Our dinnerware (plates, napkins, and utensils) and food will be 100% compostable! With the help of a local composting company, Back to Earth Compost, we will be packaging our waste for immediate composting at the end of the event.

Our dinner will be 100% plant-based, vegan food so that it reflects the hightest standards in sustainable food sources. Beer tastings will be poured from kegs, thanks to our friends at Ideal Brew, as kegged beer is more earth-friendly! And we will ensure that all wine bottles will be recycled after the event.

Going green never tasted so good!

The mission of Ann's Heart is to provide a place of welcome and human services for all Phoenixville area people. Our new initiative is to re-imagine the old Sacred Heart School into a community education center. We call it the Home of Education, Arts, Resources, and Technology - HEART.

Our mission is to educate residents of the Delaware Valley about the philosophical, environmental, and health benefits of a vegan lifestyle, and to provide support to anyone attempting to incorporate more plant foods into their diet. We partner with like-minded organizations and businesses to help strengthen local communities.

It's the beginning of a beautiful partnership...

What is starting as a fun way to launch our two new projects is just the start of what we hope to be a beautiful partnership. In the future, we hope that the HEART will be home to many of Delaware Valley VEG's educational programming. Help us make our dream a reality and support our green gala - Dîner en Vert!

What's an event-goer to wear?!

Let's talk about the dress code.
What exactly is "green-inspired" attire mean anyway?

We are here to provide you some fun examples of what one might wear to a Dîner en Vert. But keep in mind, we will be rewarding creativity - so don't let us hold you back!

Please keep in mind that this is a gala - so dress to impress! Summer cocktail attire is recommended. From there let your imagination take you where it will.

And lastly, remember that the location has yet to be revealed. Be prepared for anything: indoors, outdoors, hard floors, grass underfoot???
